What You’ll Be Doing in This Role:
As a Program Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in leading day-to-day operations while providing comprehensive care for individuals with varying needs, including those who exhibit challenging behaviors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Behavioral Support: Implement behavior management strategies, de-escalation techniques, and individualized support plans to address and mitigate challenging behaviors.
- Direct Client Care: Assist with daily living activities (ADLs), personal care, mental health supports, and medical needs based on individualized care plans.
- Program Implementation: Develop and execute person-centered programs, monitor progress, and maintain accurate data and documentation.
- Health and Medication Management: Oversee medication administration, ensure adherence to protocols, and maintain detailed healthcare documentation.
- Team Support and Training: Train, coach, and support staff in understanding behavioral management strategies, client care plans, and documentation standards.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with licensing standards, complete timely reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Household Management: Plan meals, oversee housekeeping tasks, and maintain a safe and organized environment.
Schedule: Evenings- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and alternating weekends
Compensation: $28-$30 hourlyQualifications:
- Experience with Challenging Behaviors: At least 4 years of experience supporting individuals with complex behavioral needs, including implementing behavior support plans and de-escalation techniques.
- Leadership Skills: Experience leading teams and providing guidance in disability services, behavioral health, or similar settings.
- Education and Training: Minimum of 50 hours of education/training related to human services, disabilities, or behavioral management.
- Behavioral Training: Training in positive behavior supports, crisis intervention, or trauma-informed care.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with 245D licensing standards and other regulatory guidelines.
- Attention to Detail: Strong documentation skills and adherence to healthcare protocols.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with healthcare-related software and documentation systems.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check and maintain qualified status.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and state-required insurance.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in data collection, report writing, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
